🌿The Dance Between Spiritual Mom and Human Mom

Raising Conscious Children Through a Mind-Body Connection

If you’re anywhere close to where I was as a new mom-to-be, you know exactly what it feels like to be flooded with advice—from books, strangers, family members, and even people who’ve never had children themselves. Everyone wants to help. But in my humble opinion, there is no book or piece of advice that can fully prepare you for the path of parenting.

Why? Because each of us is different. We carry unique life experiences, generational patterns—some we’re here to break, some we’re here to honor—and then we fall deeply, unconditionally in love with a soul that happens to be human and calls us Mom.

Oh, the feels. The love. The joy, fear, heartburn, excitement, body aches, and the constant awareness that every decision you make from this moment forward is being observed—maybe even mirrored—by a little being who looks to you as their guide.

🌸Spiritual Mom vs. Human Mom

So, what’s the difference?

As we grow on our healing journeys, many of us come to know two parts of ourselves: the Human Self and the Spiritual Self. And when we become parents, these parts show up in powerful ways.

✨The Spiritual Mom

She sees her children as spiritual beings having a human experience. She honors their soul contracts, their purpose, and the energy they bring to this world.

She watches with awe as they grow, transform, and evolve—cheering them on, not from the front but the sidelines. She trusts their path. She knows they were never “hers,” but were lent to her, divinely placed, because she was the best vessel for them in this lifetime.

đź’—The Human Mom

She says, “Nooo… not yet! Please don’t go too far. How about I rent an apartment in the same city, just in case?”

She aches with every milestone, feels the pull of letting go, and wrestles with fear as her child steps into the world. She wants to protect them from pain, to prevent heartbreak, to keep them close and safe. She believes that maybe, just maybe, if she’s near, she can shield them from life’s low vibrations.

🌟The Truth: Both Can Coexist

Here’s the beauty of this dance: you don’t have to choose.
Spiritual Mom and Human Mom can walk hand-in-hand.

Together, they can hold space for your children to shine. One brings the soul wisdom. The other brings the soft arms and fierce heart. Together, they create a space of unconditional love, presence, and deep trust.

It starts with awareness.
It starts with remembering your children are souls, not extensions of you. They’re not here to live your path or avoid your wounds. They’re here for their own unique, sacred journey.

🌀So How Do These Two Parts Meet?

Start by noticing how your human and spiritual selves speak to you. Don’t shame yourself when fear shows up. We all have moments of panic, control, or overwhelm. But when you feel that human fear, take a sacred pause:

  • Breathe.

  • Move your body.

  • Come back to your center.

Hold space for your children to speak their truth. Guide them lovingly—but allow their path to unfold without needing to shape it. And most importantly, keep doing your own healing. Many of us didn’t become parents as our fully healed selves—and that’s okay. It’s never too late.

🌿3 Simple Ways to Help Your Human Mom Meet Your Spiritual Mom

1. Meditate

Guided meditations are a great starting point. Even a few minutes a day can shift your perspective and connect you with your higher self.

2. Watch Your Inner Dialogue

What are you saying to yourself? Are your thoughts rooted in fear or compassion? Begin to notice, pause, and reframe. Swap judgment with grace.

3. Ground Yourself

Grounding practices—walking barefoot, spending time in nature, deep breathing—help bring you back to the present moment. This enhances your intuition and opens you to divine guidance.
