Premenstrual Bloating: great to start 3-5 days before menstrual cycle and can be taken 2-3 days after the start of menstrual cycle
1 tsp fennel seeds (relaxes GI tract muscles)
1 tsp cumin seeds (stimulates digestive enzyme secretion)
½ coriander seeds (mild diuretic)
2c water
Gently crush all seeds. Boil 2c of water then add seeds and reduce heat to simmer for 5 minutes then remove from heat and let sit for an additional 5 minutes. Put in thermos and sip.
Sunburn:
Apply a thick layer of chilled aloe vera gel (can place in refrigerator for a few hours before using, I keep mine in the refrigerator so it’s ready to go if needed) to the sunburned areas. Let it dry on the skin then apply coconut oil. Coconut oil acts as a barrier locking in moisture and promotes cooling to help the skin heal.
Turmeric powder: add turmeric powder to water making a paste then apply to affected areas. Caution-turmeric temporarily stains your skin and anything else it comes in contact with. Be careful not to ruin items it may get on.
